Today I took numerous photos of Mike Hewitt. These photos turned out great, to achieve these I used two different lighting techniques. The first was the pancake professional lighting setup, the second was the window reflection techniques both turned out great.
For this week's photo assignment I am going to try and capture the five senses. I tried to look on flickr for inspiration, but none of the photos I looked at seemed to capture my imagination. I believe that I will try to do my own original ideas for this assignment. I hope that this works out well.
For this weeks photo assignment I chose to do Event. For my event I chose shooting our music video. While we were shooting the music video I was also shooting random pictures of cool things around downtown Saline.
Today I finished my context assignment for photography class. During this assignment we were suppose to change the context of the school. I thought that monsters would be a good theme.
Today I learned about how to capture motion. To achieve these motion blurs I used a slower shudder speed and lowered the iso. This was a great way to teach how to capture motion.
For this week's photo assignment I did texture and pattern. This was slightly difficult because there aren't many patterns around the school or my home.
Toady I finished my panoramic photo. It turned out really well, and I am proud of it. I shot this picture using a mono-pod. This picture was taken at Saline High School earlier this week.
For this weeks photo assignment I chose still life. This was very difficult for me, I could not seem to get any awesome pictures. I hope to learn more techniques to make my still life pictures better. Iso: 200 F/stop: 2.6 Shutter Speed: 1/13

Today I finished editing my second photo in GIMP. I found that this program is amazingly similar to Photoshop. I seem to have talent editing photos.
So I just used gimp for the first time, seems pretty easy and similar to photoshop. I took a picture of the handsome devil Kyle Naebeck and made it into an Andy Warhol picture in a matter of minutes.
For this weeks photo assignment I chose to take pictures of nature. This was difficult for me because I realized I didn't have very much nature to shoot at my house. I ended up heading into my friend's woods taking pictures of trees and an old shack.
In this week's photo assignment I learned how to take portraits. This assignment was difficult for me because everyone who I took a picture up didn't really want it taken. Most people avoided my picture taking. My best photo of this group is a picture of Kelsea S. In this outdoor picture there lighting is almost perfect and the colors seem to really pop. I learned that sometimes your subject doesn't want a photo of themselves taken.

For this weeks photo assignment I worked on pictures with animals. I found it very difficult to photograph animals, mostly because they don't stay still. These pictures were also difficult because of the rainy and unlit condition of the barn. I learned that what I see on my camera is not exactly what turns up onto the computer screen. This is my best photo of the group.
In this assignment I am going to try and take some pictures around my house. On my property there is a large forest and i think I am going to start there.
In this assignment I learned how to use other elements of composition. The elements that i used were, framing, balance, perspective, space, and color. I used all of these separately in my photographs. THese ideas and more have helped me to create better photos.
In this assignment for my digital photography class I used the elements of composition to create good looking pictures. The elements of composition that I used were Lines, Pattern, Two-Thirds Rule, Depth of Field, and Texture. In this assignment I learned how to convey the elements of photography through my photos. Now I feel that I have become a better photographer.
